Excendia VAR Account Setup
Your VAR account needs to be properly configured for you to start creating companies and using its services. You need to configure the service packages and the "virtual company" account used for the Public Service. As you login for the first time, a VAR Account Setup Wizard page displays the configuration status of your account and shows you the remaining setup tasks.
Account Setup Wizard
The following configuration tasks must be completed when you login for the first time as the VAR Administrator. Any tasks remaining will be shown in the VAR Account Setup Status section of your Settings page.
Step 1 - Change your Password
If your are still using the default VAR administrator password, you should change it to something more private. Go to Change the VAR administrator's password to learn more.
Step 2 - Customize your Service Packages
Your VAR account must have service packages for companies and users to subscribe to them. Service packages are created and managed by System Administrators only. VARs and Company administrators can only activate or deactivate existing packages. Each service package includes one or many services offered at a certain pricing plan (monthly and per minute). Go to Service Packages for details.
Step 3 - Configure the Public Service
As the VAR Administrator, you are in charge of creating and configuring the Public Service used for subscribers who signup online (they do not belong to a private company). The public service is managed through a virtual company account. You have to specify the service packages offered, the number of subscription keys, the DIDs, etc. Go to the Public Service Setup for details.
Other Account Configuration Tasks
The other account configuration tasks are listed in the VAR Admin Role section of your Settings page (Click on any task on the Settings page to start its configuration):
- Create and manage company accounts
- Set the Call Restrictions for your companies and their users
- Manage your VAR account profile including your langue, administrator name and e-mail and credentials to remotely provision your company accounts on your Telephony Provider infrastructure
Your VAR Account is Ready to Use
Once you have completed the setup of your VAR account and its Public Service, you are ready to make your new virtual assistant services available to users.
Keep Your Account Credentials in a Safe Place. You will need your username and password each time you want to login as the VAR administrator.
Note about the Public Service and Private Companies: If you have not yet configured your Public Service, you could still do it later. People can signup online once the "Public Service" is ready. Private company accounts can be added when you sign-up new corporate customers for the service. Go to Managing Company Accounts for more.Online Help and Support
